Xenon Liberal Arts from Pembrokeshire are performing at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven with three performances of this farcical play ‘The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940′ .
The amateur theatre company will perform at the Torch for three nights only in the Main House at the Torch on Thursday 29 June, Friday 30 June and Saturday 1 July at 7.30pm.
“It’s a terrific play and it’s absolutely hilarious! Audiences will love who is who and it’s a very fast-moving production. As a cast we are having so much fun, it’s just terrific,” said award-winning director, Sue Williams, who hopes the people of Pembrokeshire will come along and support them.
The cast will skilfully negotiate the highly improbable plot. As the snow falls ever thicker, would be cast members of a Broadway musical gather in an isolated mansion. Their aim is to unmask the notorious Stage Door Slasher, slayer of innocent chorus girls. Will he – or she – strike again? Oh yes! And as the body count rises, so does the snow. If only there were help at hand . . . the storyline leads the audience through a maze of red herrings until the astonishing truth about The Stage Door Slasher is finally revealed.
“It would be great to have a sell out performance. Ticket sales have started moving and we will see more people buying a lot of tickets some 10 days leading up to the performances to see the experienced, sparkly cast at work,” explained Sue.
‘The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940′ can be seen at the Torch on Thursday 29 June, Friday 30 June and Saturday 1 July at 7.30pm.
