Betsan Llwyd: Yfory, Theatr Bara Caws – Expectations are high!

February 19, 2017 by

Forty years ago Bara Caws, Wales’s leading Welsh language community theatre company, was born, so this year marks a special anniversary which will see us presenting a range of work which will tour throughout Wales.

At the moment we are privileged to be working on Yfory (Tomorrow), a highly topical political piece by the renowned, award-winning dramatist Siôn Eirian.  Our last collaboration with Siôn in 2014, Garw, was a resounding success, so expectations are high!

Rahm Emanuel, Barak Obama’s Chief of Staff, said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste”, and over the course of one evening, when the political landscape of Wales could change forever, the public and personal collide… What would you do?

We have a fabulous cast, Dewi Rhys Williams, Caryl Morgan, Rhodri Evan and Aled Bidder – and if their work in rehearsals is anything to go by, expect a master class in performance.

This is a Welsh language production but an English precis will be available.

Details available on www.theatrbaraws.com.
