Eight new shows on sale at the New Theatre

The New Theatre has announced eight new shows going on sale for 2017.

Wales’ favourite female impersonator returns to Cardiff on Saturday 11 March 2017 in The Faaaabulous Ceri Dupree Show. Ceri will present his One Man, Twenty-one Woman show, featuring hysterical comedy, jaw-dropping costumes and amazing vocal impersonations of the likes of Adele, Cher, Bjork and even the Queen!

The Woman in Black

 

Stage and television stars Kara Tointon (Strictly Come Dancing winner), Keith Allen (The Homecoming) and Rupert Young (Merlin) star in Gaslight, one of the greatest thrillers of all time. This genre-defining classic, about a young wife terrorised by ghostly experiences, comes to Cardiff from Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 March 2017.

In addition to their unique interpretation of Casanova (which is already on sale), Northern Ballet will retell famous fairy tale Goldilocks & the Three Bears in a short ballet for young children. It’s the perfect opportunity for little ones to enjoy live ballet, music and theatre for the first time on Friday 28 April 2017.

Arthur Miller’s landmark play The Crucible comes to the New from Tuesday 23 – Saturday 27 May 2017 Told with music and movement in a bold new production, this classic tale of witch-hunting and paranoia in a small 17th century New England town is a chilling allegory of American politics in 1950s.

 

Gaslight

 

After a sell-out run in 2015, The Woman in Black makes its much-anticipated return to Cardiff from Tuesday 6 – Saturday 10 June 2017. The spine-chilling ghost story, which has enthralled millions of people across the world, continues to be one of the most gripping explorations of terror in theatre.

The world premiere production of novelist Peter James’ Not Dead Enough comes to the New from Tuesday 13 – Saturday 17 June 2017, an adaptation of the third novel in his award-winning Roy Grace series. The chilling murder mystery will star Strictly Come Dancing star Laura Whitmore.

A cast of phenomenally talented actors will recreate the drama, passion and excitement of a music legend when Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story rolls into the New from Tuesday 4 – Saturday 8 July 2017. Forget feel good, Buddy is FEEL GREAT!

Children aged 3+ won’t want to miss Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, the BAFTA award-winning television animation live on stage. Ben, Holly and their friends will be at the New from Saturday 15 – Sunday 16 July 2017, in a magical musical adventure packed full of games, songs and laughter.
