I’ve been developing Joon Dance’s activities in Pembrokeshire for 11 years now.
Most popular is our annual summer school at Torch Theatre in which professional performers lead classes and perform alongside the community.
Also joyous and well attended is our Easter holiday workshop – Gather/Casglu. It’s a chance for people of all ages to come together and move in creative ways in the landscape and celebrate the arrival of the warmer weather with dance!
Just recently, I’ve also been trialling Half Term Hoppers, which this year was made possible thanks to a small grant from Milford Haven Port Authority.
I lead a creative contemporary dance session and bring in guest teachers to offer tasters in a range of other styles. In October it was popping and locking with Jake Nwogu and in February we welcome Lee Tinnion from No Fit State Circus who will be leading a juggling and acrobatics session.
Everyone is welcome at our Joon Dance workshops and we create a non competitive, safe and creative environment where children, young people, and sometimes adults too, are invited to be creative.
Leading and running these workshops has supported my choreography and performance practice throughout the last decade and I am committed to bringing the highest quality dance artists into the area for the benefit of the Pembrokeshire community.
FEBRUARY HALF TERM HOPPERS is… CIRCUS & DANCE!
This half term we welcome Lee Tinnion from No Fit State Circus to the Joon Dance Fam. You’ll play with acrobatics and juggling in a fun and creative way. And in the dance session Zosia Jo will be exploring animal movement qualities to flow, slide and roll around and find your own style of moving as well as creating your own choreography.

Gather – Casglu
Each Easter holidays Joon Dance invite you to dive in to the Pembrokeshire landscape to dance, move, create and be together. A workshop for the whole family to join and enjoy!
Often we include a ‘big flock’ on Newgale beach as a finale to our workshop. We will welcome some additional participants and lead them in a giant murmuration across the sand!
We explore various sites and locations as well as having an indoor spot to rest and reflect – or in case of rain!
